Fazekas SS 2015
The forms of the individual items in the 2015 spring-summer collection are governed by the requirement of wearanility, while the unity of their transparent structure is manipulated by compositions defined by handcraft techniques. The garments are characterised by a diverse use of materials and techniques, and their surface or structure is altered by specific tailoring elements that create strong visual "nodes" (e.g. embroidered flaps, collar, etc.) or changes are achieved from another perspective. Focusing on the overall design. The composition lending the collection its handcraft feature can be seen as textile collages with an emphasis on the study of the role of stiches - stiches as decoration, stiches for securing, or floating threads as imitation stiches. The material is distinguished by visual and functional manifestations of stiches. The choice of materials is tailored to the season and dominated by natural and easy to manage texiles the different preparation of the linen and calico materials subtly modified the forms, enchancing the potentials in simple silhouettes.
