Surrealist dreams (2010)
Altough both Larissza Pasztircsák and Orsolya Poppre have a strong personality individually, they find cooperation the most inspiring. Their strongly surrealistic diploma work was largely based on examining contemporary philosophies, sciences and social phenomena, but the personal level was of equal importance.

With their extraordinary accessories they challenge conventional social practices such as consumption, functionality or perfectionism. Their works seem to keep the form and function of shoes and bags, however, the designers do not think of them as real objects.
Reflecting on the incomprehensible, uncertain truth of the virtual world, Larissza Pasztircsák created vision altering glasses. These glasses distort perception in various ways, therefore, their wearer experiences not
being part of the reality, or, the situation of looking at a different reality and reacting to that at the same time. The minerals on the glasses are not mere decorations, they are capable of influencing one’s energy level.
The “subjects” of Orsolya Poppre were deeply inspired by personal experiences and inner journeys. Besides, she examined altered states of consciousness. She was interested in schizophrenia, hallucinations, children’s minds, dreams, and inner song, all of them different truths rejected by civilization.
Neither did she use tailoring for her subjects, nor did she design them in advance, the final forms and surfaces were created solely by relying on her feelings. The duo belives that these adult plays facilitate transgressing the borders, which they find the most enjoyable part of their work
Larissza Pasztircsák and Orsolya Poppre graduated in 2010 at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest.
